Новый номер ЛГБТ-журнала Out вышел с полуобнажённым Рики Мартином на обложке. 48-летний певец в отличной форме и полон гармонии — он живёт в огромном доме в Беверли-Хиллз вместе со своим мужем, художником шведско-сирийского происхождения Джваном Йосефом, и воспитывает с ним четверых детей (двоих Рики родил с помощью суррогатной матери ещё до встречи с Джваном). Супруг мировой знаменитости также принял участие в красивой фотосессии, где они оба примерили простые джинсы, майки и короны.

Father. King of Latin Pop. Activist. Since his early days in the Latin boy band #Menudo, #RickyMartin has used his platform and celebrity to shine a light on important topics. Then, it was as an ambassador for #UNICEF. But in 2000, he launched @rm_foundation which he's used to wage a global war on child trafficking. “If I don’t do something, I’m allowing it to happen,” the star explains of his efforts. “If I have the platform that social media has given me to talk to 75 million people, it would be horrible not to talk about the things that people need to hear.” But he's not just firing off tweets. Last summer, the performer flew to his native Puerto Rico to call for the resignation of Governor Ricardo Rosselló whose misogynistic and homophobic messages had been exposed. Martin was there, in the thick of a reported 2 million people in the streets waving flags, and demanding justice. After 15 days, the people got what they asked for. “One thing that I’m going to always take with me is that after those days protesting, my kids would wait for me back home, and I knew that they will become revolutionaries because of the passion that we have towards social justice and fairness for all,” says @Ricky_Martin. Певец также рассказал, что очень плодотворно провёл период самоизоляции — завершил работу над новым альбомом, провёл много времени с семьёй и понял, что хочет ещё больше детей:

«Я вспоминаю свою бабушку, у которой было 14 детей. Я и сам хочу, чтобы в будущем у меня было много-много внуков и каждое воскресенье я проводил с ними. Но нельзя загадывать, как в итоге всё получится. Правда, когда малыши на самоизоляции постоянно хотели есть, спать и плакать — и так по кругу — я начинал думать, что ещё десять детей — это чересчур, хватит и тех, что есть», — рассказывает Мартин

Он поделился, что не справился бы с четырьмя детьми без помощи своего ассистента и мамы, и с гордостью рассказал, что старшие сыновья Валентино и Маттео стойко перенесли тяготы самоизоляции. Оказывается, 12-летние парни и так находились на домашнем обучении, так что для них мало что изменилось, они даже уроки карате брали по зуму.
